Unfortunately, tumblr only lets me upload ten photos per post, so this will only be a brief overview of my impromptu Kangaroo Island trip - which, by the way, was worth every penny. It was an absolutely perfect getaway. 

Things we did/places we went: Ferry ride on the top deck, Prospect Hill (I think it was 587 steps up…can’t remember the exact number), Emu Ridge eucalyptus oil factory, lunch/kangaroos at Vivonne Bay, Remarkable Rocks (they are, in fact, totally remarkable), Admiral’s Arch at sunset (complete with New Zealand fur seals), haunted lighthouse stories, dinner at the lodge, Little Penguins at Vivonne Bay (cutest things I’ve ever seen), late night drinks and cards, morning at Seal Bay, Little Sahara for sandboarding on the dunes, Hanson Bay (with red river and cliff walks), and Pennington Bay (for sand sculpting and group photos). 

Wild animals seen: kangaroos, wallabies, the elusive echidna, penguins, two kinds of seals, goanna, emus, koalas.
